Sophie searched frantically for a reason but came up with none. Guilt tore away at her and yet she still did not want Pitch to leave- she knew that she did not deserve to have him, after what she had done, but it didn’t make it easier. “Because- because I am yours,” Sophie said desperately. “And I’ll always be yours, even if I do something so incredibly stupid.”
“Owning means nothing…..when what you tend to care for all that is given was thrown back in ones face.” he said bitterly at her. “Perhaps I should let you go, you can go with this…..person after all they have caught your interest greatly that you would do what you did. So why not Sophie….” as he started to walk away.
Sophie caught his wrist and held onto it. “”Why do you always do that?” Sophie demanded. “Why are you always so quick to give in? To let me do what I want? It never fails, You are always, “Fine, whatever! Do what you will!” Like you don’t even care what I do. Maybe if you did this wouldn’t have even happened!”
He turned to her snarling, “Do you know why? Simply Sophie! When you fight for things and give it your all. What happens! Do tell me! One loses most of the things they fight for!” he yelled at her. “I only took you by force that day long ago, and you willingly gave into me! Why is that? Cause you had a place to be? Some place to call home? You are using me as I was going to use you!” he spat out at her.
This angered the man more as she listened to her speak, it took a lot for the Nightmare King to love, and he as caring as he was with her. In the end it was all thrown back in his face by what someone she choose to be with? With out him knowing, he growled a little not bothering to look back at her. “Why should I bother, please do indulge me Sophie…..”

Sophie looked up at him, terrified, jaw clenching. She’d been expecting that slap. But that didn’t mean it hadn’t hurt. “Pitch, I’m sorry, I- am, please…”
“Sorry? Sorry?!” he yelled. “Sorry does not cut it Sophie!” as he turned away from her the darkness starting to spill out of the shadows the fearlings laughing and hissing as they started to surround the King. “You have crossed me and wronged at the same time…” he hissed at her.
Sophie flinched. “I know, I know,” she said earnestly. “Please, please, it won’t happen again, I swear, just- don’t leave me. Please. Please don’t leave me. I don’t think I could handle it.”
